Teacher Rulesstr

Teacher Rules allow you to Teacher related preferences. There are 3 kinds of Teacher rules:

  1. Multi-Teacher rule allows to specify multiple Teacher and/or TAs for a class

  2. Fixed Teacher rule allows to specify a specific Teacher for a class

  3. Preferred Teacher rule allows to specify preference of Teacher(s) for a class

Multiple Teachersstr

The default Teacher assignment in a Schedule is 1 Teacher and no TAs. However, some classes need multiple Teachers or TAs. The “Number of Teachers or TAs” rule allow such specifications. Central High School needs at least 1 Teacher and 2 TAs for the Sports class. The following video shows how to specify the same.

Sometimes a School prefers a certain Teacher to teach a specific class. The “Fixed/Preferred Teacher and TAs” rule provides ability to achieve that. The following video shows how to specify Ms. Krishnan for 9th Grade Mathematics.

Preferred Teachersstr

Finally, sometimes, instead of having a fixed teacher for a class, you may want to have a preference of teachers. This provides the algorithm more options to choose from instead of Fixed Teachers. The following video shows how to select Mr. Basu as Preferred Teachers for Mathematics in Grade 8.
