Add Bell Times

Introduction

The Bell Time page allows to set a standard schedule for the classes. It includes information like School start and end time, total number of days of operation in a week, total classes to be held daily/weekly, break and lunch timings etc.

Adding Bell Times

To create a Bell Time, just click the “ADD BELL TIME” button.

Note

Both a School Owner and an Administrator can add Bell Times to a School.

Central High School has two different Bell Times for Secondary and Higher Grade Levels. Both Secondary and Higher have six periods a day from Monday to Friday. In addition, Higher has 3 periods on Saturday morning. There is also a lunch period during Monday to Friday.

The following video shows how to create a new Bell Times for Monday to Friday. Each day starts at 8:30 AM and has 6 sixty minute periods; there are 3 periods before lunch and 3 after. The lunch is half hour.

Next, we will add 3 periods for Higher Secondary Grade Level on Saturday. The following video also shows how to view the different Bell Times and then Save it.

As the videos above show, SchoolPivot makes it really easy to add Bell Times for the whole day once the first period is added. But if required, it also provides the flexibility to add Bell Times that are not of the same length every time. To do that, just select the day of the week and adjust the times individually.

Once the Bell Times are added, we are ready to add Rules and Constraints for the TimeTable and then generate one.
